Just when we think we've finally "found our tribe," we let our guard down. In our state of ignorant bliss, the "world of cold" reasserts itself, demanding that we sacrifice our essential being...and, in effect, "decommissioning" us. The way of the world of cold, I fear. The way of "our" world.

Excellent work. But couldn't it just as easily have been a happy story instead?
