it would be nice to believe a child would benefit from giving them a laptop. the truth is as soon as an adult saw a kid with one he/she would take it immediately to the local drug dealer and trade it for dope then he/she would share the infected hiv needle with the whole party and spread more aids. meanwhile the kids end up as prostitutes servicing the infected clientele and insuring a continued disease cycle. if you really want to help send condoms and prayers they will decide to do the right thing and break out of the mindset that believes its everyone elses problem that they make decisions that are toxic to themselves. a computer purchase is great for the manufacturer but does nothing to help those poor people. it may feel good to provide for those in need but think past just going through the motions if you truly want them any benefit for your good willed efforts.
